An event was organized by the Bharati Club (The Expat Indian Women's Association in the Philippines) in association with the Embassy of India, Manila to commemorate 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on October 5, 2018 at Ritz Towers, Makati.

The first two Solar Mammas from the Republic of Palau ,Ms. Iolanny T. Dwight and Ms. Jaelene B. Kebekol visited the Embassy in Manila and met Ambassador Mazumdar on their way to India for a six month course at the Barefoot College at Jaipur, Rajasthan.

Ms. Irene Bel Potana, a student of the Asian Studies of the Asian Centre of the University of Philippines in Manila has been selected to study Hindi at the Kendriya Hindi Sansthan in Agra, India under the scholarship scheme: Propagation of Hindi Abroad administered by Ministry of Human Resource Development of India.She would be travelling to India this coming weekend.

Jaideep Mazumdar making his opening remarks during a dinner at India House hosted in honour of the Indian Awardees of the 2018 Ramon Magsaysay Awards, Mr. Sonam Wangchuk and Dr. Bharat Vatwani.Various Ambassadors, members of diplomatic and business community, officials of the Government of the Philippines attended the event and interacted with the winners.

An India Evening was organised by EEPC on 23 August 2018 at Dusit Thani Hotel.

Embassy of India Celebrates 69th Republic Day of India

Ambassador visited Baguio recently and called on the remarkable Mayor Mauricio G Domogan who presented him with a golden key to the City of Baguio. Ambassador presented Mayor Domogan with a book on India's North East whose people have much in common with the people of the Cordileras. Mayor Domogan proposed sister city relationship with Shillong in India's North Eastern state of Meghalaya.

During Ambassador's recent visit to Baguio, he met with representatives of the Indian community at the Hindu Temple and Sikh Gurdwara and took note of the issues affecting them and their suggestions for better consular service
