Guidance and Counselling of Filipino spouses, fiancé(e)s and other partners of foreign nationals/former Filipino

Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) conducts the Guidance and Counselling Program (GCP) for Filipino spouses, fiancé(e)s and other partners of foreign nationals/former Filipino.  Republic Act 10364 (An Act Expanding the Anti-Trafficking of Person Act of 2012”) requires the conduct of mandatory counselling services for Filipinos in intermarriages.  The GCP is also a requirement under the implementing rules of Republic Act 8239 or the Philippine Passport Act of the Department of Foreign Affairs.

Effective from 15 May 2014the CFO will implement the GCP On-line Appointment System (GOAS) at CFO Manila Office.  The GOAS will enable spouses, fiancé(e)s and other partners of foreign nationals/former Filipino to conveniently schedule online their attendance to the GCP.  Meanwhile, the CFO Cebu Office will continue to implement the walk-in, first-come, first-serve basis (i.e. no reservations needed) for their GCP sessions.
