Evacuation of Stranded Indian Seafarers from the Philippines - Urgent Notice to Shipping Companies

Shipping companies with stranded Indian seafarers in the Philippines are now permitted to hire chartered aircraft for evacuating such personnel to India at their own cost. These companies will also have to pay for the 14-quarantine of the Indian seafarers in India. 

  1. All such companies are requested to register their Indian personnel to be evacuated on the website of the Embassy of India https://www.eoimanila.gov.in through the special registration link https://www.eoimanila.gov.in/crew_register/ opened for them.

  2. Such evacuations will have to meet all the requirements of SOPs of Government of India for repatriation of Indians overseas as issued from time to time. Extant SOPs are enclosed.

  3. Each Aviation Company is required to additionally fill out the attached proforma. CLICK HERE It will help to expedite approvals if this information can be provided at the same time. Flights should however only be planned starting from second week of June, 2020.

  4. To start the process, they are also requested to urgently provide information to the Embassy in the following sample format :
