ICCR Scholarship Scheme for Indian Culture

The Embassy of India, Manila is pleased to announce that the International Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) is offering 100 scholarship slots for its Scholarship Scheme for Indian Culture for Academic Year 2021 – 2022.

International students (must be 18-30 years old) who will be accepted on the said grant will get an opportunity to learn about wider facets of Indian culture such as, but not limited to dance, music, performing arts, theatre, sculpture, and Indian cuisine.

This program is a great avenue for students to widen their knowledge about Indian Culture while also building strong global connections.

Interested applicants may kindly note the following:

  1. Applicants must be 18 years of age at the time of admission in Indian Universities/Institutes and not more than 30 years of age;

  2. ICCR scholarship students must procure Medical Insurance policy with minimum sum assured for USD 6,800 per annum;

  3. Interested students are advised to visit university/institute website and do thorough research of courses offered, eligibility criteria and general information about the university/institute before applying for admission. The students should ensure that they are eligible for the course and meet the eligibility criteria and should submit relevant documentation as required by the universities in addition to the basic certificates mentioned in the application form. They should refer to the Universities Handbook / Universities Grants Commission’s website and the concerned university/institute’s website for eligibility criteria, etc.;

  4. Applicants will have the option to apply to five (5) universities/institutes in the order of their preference of study. The admission, as far as possible, would be given as per applicant’s preference;

  5. The scholarship will also provide international airfare to students;

  6. In order to secure security of the foreign students, ICCR advises students to stay in hostel provided by their institute. However, students are allowed to stay in private accommodation if the concerned institute does not insist on staying in their hostel;

  7. Detailed guidelines on the process of applying for ICCR Scholarships online and the norms governing the same are given on the www.a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in.

Deadline for submission of application is on April 30, 2021 (Friday).
